FAQ
What image size works best?
Anything large and roughly 16:9 — the image is scaled and cropped to fill the frame. 1920×1080 is ideal.
Why is rendering slow for long tracks?
The video is encoded in your browser; an hour of video takes a while. For multi-track uploads, the mix video maker handles the whole pipeline.
Does converting to MP4 change my audio quality?
Slightly. The audio is re-encoded to AAC at 192 kbps, which is transparent for normal listening but technically lossy, so it won't recover detail already lost in an MP3 and it won't preserve a lossless master. If you need an untouched copy, keep your original WAV or FLAC alongside the video.
Can I make a vertical video for Shorts, Reels, or TikTok?
Not currently. The output is landscape 16:9 at 720p or 1080p, so a square or portrait cover gets cropped to fill that shape. The MP4 is ideal for a standard YouTube upload, but a true 9:16 vertical frame for Shorts or TikTok isn't an option here yet.
Why is the MP4 barely bigger than my MP3?
Because the image never moves. H.264 only stores what changes between frames, and with a static cover there's almost nothing to record after the first frame, so the video stream stays tiny. Nearly all of the file size is your re-encoded audio, which is why even a five-minute song exports as a small MP4.
